John Livesay, a/k/a The Pitch Whisperer, is a sales keynote speaker, sharing lessons learned from his award-winning sales career at Conde Nast. In his keynote “Getting To Irresistible,” he shows companies’ sales teams how to become irresistible so they are magnetic to their ideal clients.
After a 15 year media sales career at Conde Nast, John was laid off in 2008. On a mission to reinvent himself, he learned to sell digital ads. It was very challenging and was a huge pay cut from what he was used to. Ironically, he was rehired back at Conde Nast and ended up winning salesperson of the year for the entire company. John realized he was the same person, whether he was laid off or winning an award. He discovered his unique gift is to help people tell stories that pull people in vs. pushing out information.
John’s TEDx talk, “Be The Lifeguard of Your Own Life” has over 1,000,000 views. He is also the Co-Founder, CMO of QuantmRE which is a blockchain real estate company and host of “The Successful Pitch” podcast, heard in over 60 countries. He’s spoken for companies such as Coca Cola, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Honeywell’s tech teams. John’s also appeared on TV as an expert on “How To Ask For What You Want And Get A Yes.”
John’s new book, Better Selling Through Storytelling, comes out this year. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his two King Charles Spaniels who welcome him home when he returns, reminding him of the importance of belly rubs.
