When Corey Poirier was working in the corporate world, he was making a good income in sales but wasn’t happy. On top of that, the company he was working for wanted him to move to a completely different location, which he didn’t want to do. At that time, he was making a six-figure income, so in deciding to leave that role, he lost a guaranteed income to enter the world of unpredictable.
Corey had major fears about giving up a guaranteed income at a time when it wasn’t ideal in his life to do so. He’d just finished paying off some debt, so cash flow was not good – definitely not the ideal time to leave a steady job and go into business for yourself. What inspired him to make the change is that he wanted to stay in the same location, felt he had something different to offer to the world, and felt a calling to bring that offering to the world.
Today, Corey is a multiple-time TEDx, and sought-after keynote, speaker. He has spoken on MoMonday’s and PMx stages, has shared the bill with everyone from John C. Maxwell to Deepak Chopra to Stephen MR Covey to General Hillier and has presented to hundreds of thousands of attendees since he began his speaking journey.
Host of the top-rated ‘Conversations with PASSION’ Radio Show, ‘For The Love Of Speaking’ Show, and the founder of ‘The Speaking Program’, Corey has been featured in multiple television specials, has been featured in/on CBS, CTV, NBC, ABC, and is one of the few leaders featured twice on the popular Entrepreneur on Fire show. Also a columnist with Entrepreneur and Forbes, he has interviewed over 4,000 of the world’s top leaders.
An international bestselling author, Corey wrote, The Book of WHY (and HOW): Discover The Timeless Secrets To Meaning, Success and Abundance and recently released The Book of Public Speaking: Learning to Speak for Purpose, Impact and Profit.
Corey is a father to his young son Sebastian, boyfriend to Shelley and father to 3 fur-babies. He is also a practicing Yogi and Rock Recording of the Year Nominee.
