Sherry Richert Belul - Reinventing Gift Giving

Sherry Richert Belul believes that we shouldn’t be waiting until the funeral to express your appreciation for and to celebrate our loved ones. Share what you feel with them while they’re still alive. Don’t miss life’s opportunities to share with them. She wants to live in a world where people “carry paper parasols in our pockets to slip into our colleagues morning muffins”. Don’t be afraid to say “I love you” out loud.  Be mindful of those you care about.

Are there gifts in everyday life? Sherry says there are. She has developed practices that help us celebrate ourselves, our loved ones and the shape of our lives. She says we have to give ourselves permission to celebrate everyday moments and let go of unreasonable expectations, which she strives to help as many people as possible do for themselves.

Sherry has spent the last twenty years practicing finding those gifts in everyday life. She created her company, Simply Celebrate, to help people make moments into gifts in different ways: customized tribute books, life coaching, as well as one-of-a-kind inspirational books and articles. She wants everyone to live in a world where it REALLY IS the thought that counts.

Tune in to this episode to hear Sherry chat with Steve and Mary about how Simply Celebrate actually stemmed from a history of anxiety and depression, how to give the right gift at the right time, celebrating everyday life and how to make moments into gifts.
