In this episode Steve poses the question of ‘have you ever tapped into strength and abilities you didn’t know you had?’

They make use of a very small portion of their possible consciousness, and of their soul’s resources in general — much like a man who, out of his whole bodily organism, should get into a habit of using and moving only his little finger. Great emergencies and crises show us how much greater our vital resources are than we had supposed.”
Steve then poses the question to Mary and Richard as to how they stretch their limitations when faced with self-defeating phrases such as “I could never do that” and asked them to think about times in their lives when they’ve overcome substantial adversity to achieve their desired results.
Steve shares the story of a woman who drives a bear out of her kitchen with nothing more than a zucchini because she wanted to protect her child.
Richard says he needs to get out of the habit of performing best under pressure. It’s a habitual pattern of making himself Respond to a bear being “in the kitchen”.
